A travel Day in Paris–so cheap it is like stealing

The normal tourist experience in Paris is like being a dirty wool suit–you are taken to the cleaners, begrudgingly and will never again be the same.  Euros fly out of your pocket like  babies flying to heaven in the Louvre. Try this instead. In the morning buy a fresh baguette, break it in two and stuff it in a bag.  With a little cheese and pate you can eat anywhere for free (cost–a few euros).  Ride the metro to La Defense.  Marvel at the new Paris–It is interesting like the office buildings in Dubai or New York.  Then take the number 73 bus back downtown.  This is the first stop so you get your choice of seats.  You will see the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysees, The Tuilleries, the bridges of the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, and end at Musee d’Orsay.  For the same price (within 90 minutes of the ticket validation) jump on Bus 69 and see the Pont Neuf, Notre Dame and all points east.  In the afternoon wait until 4:15 and get into Musee d’Orsay for half price or wait until 5pm and get in for free.  After a day of touring and museums look for a bar that has a “happy hour”, the beer prices are acceptable.  Final cost 3.90 euros for the metro and buses, 6.50 euro for the museum, 3 Euros for the bread and cheese and 5 Euros for a pint.  All in for about 20 Euros.  Compare that to the 29 Euro for the hop on, hop off bus and you will think you have got away with stealing!
