Asia (North)

I have been to China three times and to Hong Kong on various occasions on stop overs to other parts of South East Asia. I love traveling to and around China. China can be a hard country to travel independently do to language differences and also do to government restrictions. However, that is what makes it even more fun for me. I will outline two itineraries. My first trip to China (1995) focused on the South and Eastern parts of China. You will note this is a farily standard trip with a few novel destinations. My second major trip was in 1999, part of my year long journey. I fley into Guan zhou and then to Chengdu in Sichuan to continue to Tibet and then the Silk Road through the Desert, following the Silk Road to the Kharakoram Highway and into Pakistan. |
