Philosophy behind this site
The mission of Spirited (B) Older Women is to illustrate through sharing journeys of women traveling solo, to inspire other women to follow their dreams and venture off the beaten path on travel adventures of their own. The women who share their journeys here believe, and have proven, that adventure knows no age boundaries and that boldness is a truly a feminine attribute of every women
As a woman passionate about authentic independent adventure travel “off the beaten path”, I want to share my journeys/experiences with other women. I know independent travel by women of any age can be done, because I have done it. Not only that, I have done it well, and I love it. This web site is to share my passion and my adventures with you, and to encourage you to embrace your own dream and follow it wherever your adventures may lead you.
Many travel web sites exist, a few exist for women, but sites for the older, solo independent women traveling “off the beaten track” are hard to find.
