Penohm Pen from the Mekong--on the way to Vietnam
The boat left the dock at 8:30am and we were off on a new adventure and looking forward to entering Vietnam via the small border post on the river to Chau Doc. The entire process was so easy. We took a medium fast boat from a company called Delta Adventure Tours. The boat seemed very slow and we were wondering if we would arrive by 2:30 which was the promised arrival time. Around noon we docked at an island and were walked around the island and put on a speed boat which quickly got us to Chau Doc at 2:30pm. The immigration process on the Cambodian side and the Vietnam side was easy. In fact, the Vietnam side was so easy, that we did not even see any immigration officer as the boat driver took our passports to be stamped.
